Greetings!

Welcome to the fourth issue of the year 2016.

The year 2016 was fruitful with around 200 articles submitted for publication. We are making all efforts for timely publication and distributing the content equally through the year. For the journal to be recognized internationally, we are enriching the Editorial Board of JIAPHD with international personalities. Interestingly, JIAPHD is now receiving articles from across the globe. There is a need for increasing visibility of our journal globally.

Peer review is another critical area that ensures quality assurance for the readers. Currently, the rejection rate is <50%. It should be >50%. I am indebted to the reviewers and members of the Board for the commendable work done in improving the quality of peer review.

It is time for introspection and honest evaluation of the journal:

  • Are the articles published having high impact?
  • Are the articles cited in academic literature - books or journals?
  • Are we adding new information to the existing scientific literature?

Of course, Medknow is collaborating with us in providing analysis, developing strategies, managing applications, and communicating feedback regularly. Archives are being added steadily.

I wholeheartedly thank the authors, reviewers, Editorial Board, Medknow, and IAPHD Head Office for supporting in all our endeavors.

Wishing you happy and prosperous New Year 2017

Best wishes
