“We must have technical education and we must have also higher research, because technical education, without higher research, is a branch without a tree, a blossom without any root.”

–Sister Nivedita

Greetings to all,

First of all my heartfelt thanks to the management of Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh and Dr. Naveen, Organizing Chairman and his wonderful team, for all the efforts to organize the 12th National PG Convention of IAPHD a grand success. All the guest lectures must have inspired the postgraduate student to understand the depth of the subject and helpful for their research activities.

Wherever I am getting an opportunity, I am congratulating Dr. Sabhyasachi Saha and his team for their untiring efforts to bring out the guidelines for “Establishing Tobacco Cessation Centers in Dental Colleges in India.” The person in charge at the centers will be public health dentist. This is a memorable milestone in the history of IAPHD and moments to be proud of as the association is marching toward the successful completion of 25th year.

National Public Health Dentist Day on June 19, 2018 was observed by few colleges in a meaningful way to create awareness about oral health in inaccessible areas. Let all of us start similar programs in all the dental colleges throughout the country, another step ahead to create the importance of oral hygiene for a common man.

Grand and elaborate arrangements are going on for the 23rd National Conference of IAPHD, organized by DJ College of Dental Sciences, Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh. Let all the public health dentists from all parts of India participate and make it a grand success in this Silver Jubilee Year.

With Best Wishes.
