Greetings to one and all!
Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts. –Henri Frederic Amiel.
I take this opportunity to thank all senior members, colleagues, friends and office bearers, and subcommittee members for extending the support and encouragement for 4 years to me as Honorary Secretary of the IAPHD.
I am happy to inform that the National Tooth Brushing Day was observed on November 7, 2019, in majority of the institutes across the country. On this day, an official attempt was made to enter the Guinness Book of World records and successfully accomplished “Most People Brushing Their Teeth Simultaneously-Single Venue” which involved 26,382 children. It was done in collaboration with Colgate and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences. It was unimaginable and surely a lifetime experience. My heartfelt thanks to everyone for making this impossible task possible. And to the lovely charming children who were very well behaved and well mannered. I learned many things from them. I was truly blessed to be part of this entire event.
I am also glad to inform you all that the 2020 National Conference of IAPHD will be held at an International venue and it will be held at Bangkok, Thailand, in collaboration with Thammasat University and Thai society of Dental Public Health. I request more members to attend the conference and work for the success of this IAPHD initiative.
I extend my thanks to the Editor and the editorial board members for taking our journal to newer heights and best wishes for the newly elected office bearers.
