The result of this study will guide further need for requirement for knowledge awareness, usage enhancement and research works. Participants: Physiotherapist from all over India were included with a minimum degree of Bachelor of physiotherapy (BPT). Methods: A cross sectional study using a multistep google form questionnaire was surveyed among Indian therapist with a minimal degree of BPT. The form consists of consent form and the questions regarding ICF, which were further divided into two sections: (A) ICFcore set and (B) ICF-CY. A total of 76 responses from the participants obtained till date. The study is still ongoing to get responses from maximum physiotherapist. Analysis: The descriptive analysis using frequency distribution was carried out. Results: Till date, out of 76 respondents, 90.8% (n=69) have heard about ICF, where among them only 76.8% (n=53) used it. Out of this 69 respondents, only 36.2% (n=25) have heard about ICFcore set but used by only 32% (n=8), whereas only 23.2% (n=16) have heard about ICF-CY but used by only 31.2% (n=5). The analysis of data regarding knowledge, factor assisting / affecting the use and reasons regarding that were also carried out. Conclusion: Although the majority of Indian therapist came in contact with ICF, but there is a lack of knowledge regarding ICF and its two companion classification, ICF-core set and ICF-CY. Also, maximum of them are using ICF but used less ICF-core set and ICF-CY. Adding to this, the classification was used with incomplete knowledge and maximally without codes, where many factors also affected the use. Implications: The functional assessment is one of the important goal oriented components and assessment of it through all functions plays a role. This will help physiotherapist to identify function, in research work and coding will enhance interdisciplinary work. ER -
