Hearty wishes from the head office,
Today there are 72 dental colleges running a postgraduate course in Public Health Dentistry with 211 students' intake. This is a large skilled workforce, which will be available to the Government and Private sector 3 years from now for their programs.
Almost all the states and dental colleges (both undergraduate and postgraduate) have now started employing our specialty staff on a war footing to complete within the DCI mandated period. It is very important for all the teachers of this specialty to equip the new graduates with multiple sets of skills to utilize various opportunities in the sphere of public health, both national and international, rather than look to dental institutions alone for job opportunities.
This alone will enable our specialty to grow higher.
