Greetings!

Welcome to the second issue of the year 2016.

We are working toward indexing of the journal, for which I solicit your support at the outset.

We were informed that “The journal has good archives, but only 2 articles have received citations. The editors may consider improving the citation statistics of the journal.” A serious thought should be given to this point.

First, JIAPHD aspires to publish studies which are innovative, original research that has public health implications. Let us not reinvent the wheel. Authors and reviewers have a major role in this regard. Acceptance rate will change There is a need for publicizing our research in different forums online–formal/informal. More and more people should read our research and get inspired to do further research and cite our work. Research should be accessible JIAPHD is being published for more than a decade. Our research findings need to be cited in future research. Archives will allow free access to back volumes. There is a need to carry forward the research work from the past to the future. Continuity is essential.

Publish or perish is the order of the day. To remain in the business, we have to publish the best only. I hope quality research work coupled with stringent peer review will take us to the next level. I wholehearted thank in anticipation the authors, reviewers, Editorial Board, Medknow, and IAPHD Head Office for supporting and guiding JIAPHD in this endeavor of making JIAPHD as a mirror of Public Health Dentistry in India.

Best wishes
