Greetings!

In 1993, a small group of like-minded Public Health Dentistry professionals shared a common dream of enhancing the discipline of Public Health Dentistry in India. They felt the need for providing a common platform for exchange of views and information and development of meaningful and effective preventive programs for the community. This needs culminated in the formation of the Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry (IAPHD), with the aim of enhancing oral health of the Indian community through organized team efforts. Today, we are more than 2100 members and still growing.

This year, we will be completing 25 years of our association. I hereby request all the members to take it as pride and participate in the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of IAPHD with personal attention in your respective colleges/institutions and state chapters and all the celebrations will conclude on November 30, 2018, at the inaugural function of IAPHD National Conference. Kindly display banners with IAPHD logo with 25 years' celebrations. I am delighted and very happy to inform you all that our Journal of IAPHD has been indexed in Index Copernicus. I take this opportunity to congratulate and thank the office bearers, editor and previous editors, present and previous Editorial Board members, reviewers, authors, Medknow, and all the members for their efforts and support.

Long live IAPHD.
