Road Safety Week - "Safety is not just a slogan; it's a way of life"
National Dental College and Hospital, Derabassi collaborated with GMR Varalakshmi foundation /GMR Ambala Chandigarh Expressways Pvt. Ltd, GMR RAXA by starting a campaign aimed to help reduce the number of preventable accidents, by encouraging people to be more responsible behind the wheel. Programme Activities included Free Eye, Medical & Dental Checkup Camp,Road safety Street play ,First Aid Training during accidental period at Toll plaza Dappar,Punjab

International CDE Workshop on "Research Design" -14th Nov. 2014.
Department of Public health Dentistry, Peoples Dental Academy, Bhopal
Dr. Stefanie Russel and Dr. Hanuman Sudhakar Gade from USA were the guest speakers for the event. Around 350 staff, post graduates and UGs from other colleges participated in the event. All the participants received a certificate of participation with 3 CDE Points after attending the workshop.

Blood donation camp
A blood donation camp was organized on 3.12.14 by The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of V S Dental college and hospital from the Department of Public Health Dentistry in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health(Sri Harman Das Kapoor blood bank), Lions club , HDFC bank Bengaluru. In total, 75 units of blood were collected. The donors received certificate of recognition.

PCDS Blood Donors forum-"Gain by Giving- Peace of life"

Capt Ambrish Sharma, Director Admin inaugurated "PCDS Blood donors forum" on 23-02-2015. About 600 members volunteered to give their mobile numbers and blood group details. Dr DK Satpaty, HOD, Forensic Medicine and Director, LN Medical College delivered a guest lecture on the importance of "Blood and Organ donation".

Dental Health Utsav 2014

Hon'ble Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Sh. J.P. Nadda, inaugurated "Dental Health Utsav-2014" on 01-12-2014 in presence of Hon'ble Union Minister for Science & Technology, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Sh. Najeeb Jung, Hon'ble Lt. Governor Delhi, Sh. D.M. Spolia, Chief Secretary Delhi, Sh. SCL Das, Secretary Health and Dr. D.K. Tempe, Dean, Maulana Azad Medical College.
This year's exhibition theme was "Swasth Shareer, Swasth Muskan" saw inclusion of life-like translides trying to bring patients closer to oral health.Free Dental health check up for general public was done on all the days, where they are made aware of the various dental conditions and made adequate referrals. Over 6000 patients were examined in the five day event during the Utsav. Many Government and Public schools, NGOs also actively participated in dental screening, exhibition and other activities.
