Greetings!

Welcome to the first issue of the year 2016.

At the outset, I thank all the members of Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry (IAPHD) for supporting my candidature and electing me unanimously as Editor in the 2015 elections held at Manipal. I am indeed bestowed with yet another opportunity to work with the Journal of IAPHD (JIAPHD) and I consider this as a privilege. The Editorial Board has been reconstituted with eminent members who have serious concern about the content and the quality of the journal. Of course, the new office bearers will be the guiding force for all our endeavors at JIAPHD. Back volumes are being made online available in the Archives of JIAPHD website. Now, more articles can be cited from JIAPHD thereby the impact of the journal can be enhanced.

The year 2015 was a memorable year with four issues released as per the schedule. The response was overwhelming with 250 articles received for peer review. Reviewers have done a great job taking their time out patiently suggesting corrections and showing their willingness to re-assess when required. Many thanks. Also, it is suggested that authors should develop skills in writing, keeping in mind the checklist available for different types of studies. COPE guidelines and ICMJE guidelines are useful resources in this regard.

IAPHD news is the reflection of public health activities across the country. The members may communicate about their activities in time so that it can be published periodically.

Best wishes.
