  World Aids Day 2015 Top


Centre: People's Dental Academy & Peoples College of Dental sciences and RC, Bhopal



The Program was inaugurated by Dean Academics and Registrar Peoples University Dr. Neerja mallick and flagged off under the able guidance of deans of both the institute Dr. Satish Karandikar and Dr. Shaji Thomas. On this occasion Awareness Campaigns were conducted by interns, students and staff members. Students also created awareness by conducting a street play on AIDS awareness in an exemplary way and gave message to the masses.

Centre: School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University, Greater Noida



The activities included patient counselling at the counselling booth at Sharda University Campus along with distribution of pamphlets. Patient Counselling Centre was put up to explain the patients about AIDS and its prevention. This was followed by nukkad nattak by the interns and IIIrd year students in the premises of Sharda University and at the streets of greater noida.

  Report “Delhi Smiles”- Dental Health Utsav 2015 9-12 December 2015 Top


Centre: Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi



The program was inaugurated by Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Shri. Manish Sisodia and Shri. Satyendar Jain, Hon'ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi on 9th December 2015. On this occasion Shri. Manish Sisodia released the “Annual Year Book” of MAIDS which is compilation of achievements by the Institution in the last year. He also released Comic illustration “Babloo aur Rani ki kahani” on Oral Health and Hygiene which was conceptualized and created by Department of Public Health Dentistry of MAIDS. The four day long Utsav comprised Free Dental check-up, Dental Health Exhibition, Interactive Group Counseling sessions, Guest lectures, Inter-college competitions, Sports activities and Cultural programs.

  Report of the International Symposium on “tobacco Control- globally, Nationally, at State and by You” 21-22 december 2015 Top


Centre: Peoples College of Dental Sciences and RC, Bhopal



A total of 654 delegates including students and faculty from dental/medical colleges of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior of MP and Sawangi- Wardha of Maharashtra participated in this program. There were 136 theme based exhibits on display for a competition on posters/models/paintings/Slogans. Guest speakers for the symposium were Dr. Vinayak Mohan Prasad, Project Manager, Prevention of Non Communicable Diseases, WHO, Switzerland, Col Dr. Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Commanding Officer of the 21 Corps Dental Unit, Bhopal and Dr. Dilip Kumar Acharya, Surgical Specialist-G.B. Pant District Hospital, Indore -Govt. of M.P.

Dr. Pallavi Petkar, 3rd MDS student of People's College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Bhopal secured first prize for her paper titled “Oral health status of juvenile detainees in Madhya Pradesh” done under the guidance of Dr. Amith HV, Reader, Dept of Public Health Dentistry. at the 28th ISDR Conference held at ITS centre for Dental studies and research, Ghaziabad, from 20-22 Nov 2015. A topic of public health significance was recognized at the ISDR conference and awarded with a best paper prize.
