Greetings!

Welcome to the third issue of the year 2016.

In the direction towards indexing of the journal, we have applied with Directory of Open Access Journals which is a community-curated online directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals. Editorial Board of JIAPHD will now have international members of repute. I am extremely delighted to have Dr. W. Murray Thomson on Board. Wish many more join us and support our cause.

Citations have improved marginally, but not significantly. It is the time we explore into newer arenas in research with innovative and better methods rather than reinventing the wheel. It is necessary to focus on qualitative aspects and not just grow quantitatively. Research should become our passion, and we should look for opportunities for research, and at the same time, aim at timely publication of our findings that will inspire further research. Second, research should have practical implications, especially in Indian scenario providing evidence for policymakers, new directions for programmers, cutting edge to the clinicians, and research students.

I wholeheartedly thank the authors, reviewers, Editorial Board, Medknow, and IAPHD Head Office for supporting in all our endeavors.

Best wishes
