Sir,
This letter addresses the role of Ethics committee in mitigating confirmation bias in dental research in India. Schematic category-based thinking is current school of thought to mitigate confirmation bias in dental research.[1] Mentors in dental education in India play an important role in mitigating confirmation bias in dental research by constituting ethics committee in individual health universities headed by Academic Dean supported by dental discipline Heads of various specialties. The key factors for mitigating confirmation bias in a constituted ethics committee are dental scholar's study or data presentation, open discussions, accepting criticisms raised by the ethics committee, and the ethical concerns of the study. Therefore, ethics committee are constituent bodies in India to mitigate confirmation bias in dental research and encourages dental scholar's to come up with fruitful results for the betterment of the society, safeguarding the ethical aspect.
