  Hepatitis Awareness and Vaccination Drive: Center: Manav Rachna Faculty of Dental Sciences, Faridabad Top

Faculty of Dental Sciences (FDS), Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad organized a Hepatitis B vaccination and awareness drive in university campus on 16th January 2020. The drive was organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry in collaboration with Department of Periodontology and Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi. The Drive consisted of awareness sessions for students, faculty members, health care workers and auxiliary staff in FDS and other faculties of the university. The sessions were taken by Dr. Neeraj Raizada, Project Head, EMPATHY Campaign at ILBS. Vaccination drive was launched by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava (VC, MRIIRS University) and Dr. Arundeep Singh (Principal, FDS). A total of 476 individuals were provided first dose of vaccination free of cost. Two remaining doses will be provided free of cost to these 476 individuals at the campus as per schedule. A pledge about spreading awareness about hepatitis and its prevention was also taken on this occasion.

  World No Tobacco Day - 2019: Centre - School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University, Noida Top

As a part of the Community Social Responsibility (CSR) School of Dental Sciences, Sharda University Department Of PublicHealth Dentistry on occasion of “World No Tobacco Day” conducted various activities to educate people about the ill effects of tobacco use and motivate people to quit this habit and adopt health life choices. Dr. M Siddharth, Dean, School of Dental Sciences, was invited for a live panel discussion on the occasion of “World No Tobacco Day” organized by department of public health dentistry and conducted by TV channel “Zee BusinessXS”. Guest Lecture on the topic “Tobacco Cessation Methodologies: Need of the hour in Educational Institution” by Dr. Akshay Dhoble, Associate Professor, Maitri College Of Dentistry and Research Centre, Durg. Flash Mob at Great India Place Mall, Noida Sector 38. Radio talk was done with “Suno Sharda” 90.8 FM about the ill effects of tobacco use on General and Oral Health. A health education drive for the people in and outside of the university was conducted. While t e people outside the university mainly comprised of auto drivers and those running small eateries outside the university.
